ALLMI – The Association of Lorry Loader Manufacturers and Importers was formed in 1979, its primary function being to Create a Code of Practice for the industry.

ALLMI has three main objectives:

  1. To promote the safe use of lorry loaders.
  2. To ensure that the Association is involved in the formulation of any legislation which affects the industry’s interests.
  3. To promote compliance with training requirements embodied in current legislation.

Upon successful completion of the lorry loading training course, every candidate will receive an identity card and certificate (valid for 5 years) and will be registered on the ALLMI Operator database. Candidates also receive the ALLMI Operator’s manual.

ALLMI Training Limited is a dedicated training company set up to meet with all the requirements of BS ISO 15513 (Cranes-competancy requirements for crane drivers, slingers, signallers and assessors) – first published in 2000.

ALLMI has been awarded the Health and Safety Executive’s ‘Working in Partnership’ logo of recognition.

The ALLMI training scheme is the only lorry loader training scheme in the UK to have received this commendation from the HSE.
