Avon Crane is the authorised agent and dealer of FASSI cranes and parts for the South West of England. Our expert team are on hand to guide you through the process of picking the correct crane for your use cases or modifying one of our existing solutions to fit your specific needs.

We can help with everything from selecting the correct crane, designing, installing or modifying to fit your vehicle as well as support services, training and maintenance/repairs.

We hold stock of a range of parts for both FASSI and PM Cranes, and our workshop is fully equipped for installation, callibration and maintenance.

Avon Crane can design and build your vehicle from scratch. From the initial enquiry we can simulate any installation on any vehicle to build a virtual picture.

We will calculate individual axle weights, carrying capacities and ultimately the stability of the final build. So many times we see either axle weights exceeded, vehicle instability or in many cases cranes having to be de-rated.

With Avon Crane all these worries are taken care of. We will guide you step by step through the process in order to achieve your goal.

We use the latest sophisticated TrailerWin software in conjunction with precise CAD drawings.

All our sub frames are be-spoke, CE stamped and approved. We work closely with all the major chassis manufacturers and we are a recognised installation point for FASSI, PM, Cormach, HMF & Atlas cranes.

TRAINING

Do you require training?

Avon Crane can provide complete training to a variety of specifications through our partnership with ALLMI. All courses are CSCS approved and cover lorry loading, crane, forklift and tail lift operation and safety.

Avon Crane can offer you a range of options from 1 to 6 years to cover basic annual load testing and calibration through to a full repair and maintenance programme, which is available for ALL new/used lorry loaders.

LIGHT-DUTY RANGE

The FASSI range of light duty cranes is perfect for lower weight and reach applications – small loads, lifting, towing and material handling for installation on smaller vehicles. Fassi light-weight cranes,  starting from “micro” cranes, combine reduced weight, compactness and limited dimensions, but without foregoing all those factors typical of Fassi quality, both in the structure and in the details.

MEDIUM-DUTY RANGE

The FASSI range of medium duty cranes provide a middle ground between the light and heavy duty ranges – The term medium–duty crane defines the range of the cranes lifting capacity from 13 to 36 t. x m. These cranes belong to a broad range, so they are suited for many different setups and uses. Installed on larger wheel base vehicles.

HEAVY-DUTY RANGE

The FASSI range of Heavy duty cranes provide the maximum lifting capacity and reach of the three available ranges with up to 127.0 tm lifting capacity – These cranes stand out for their ability to combine exceptional lifting performance with a machine body that reduces structural dimensions to a minimum.

CERTIFICATION & INSPECTION

Need an inspection? All our cranes meet full LOLER requirements.

We make sure that when using any lifting equipment, the requirements of LOLER are met. We make sure all lifting equipment is:

Sufficiently strong, stable and suitable for the proposed use.

Positioned or installed to prevent the risk of injury, eg from the equipment or the load falling or striking people;

Visibly marked with any appropriate information to be taken into account for its safe use, eg safe working loads. Accessories, eg slings, clamps etc, should be similarly marked.
